GATF Affirms Proposed PIA Consolidation

After two plus year study the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) board of directors without dissent voted resolutions which will facilitate its consolidation with Printing Industries of America (PIA), on or about January 1, 1999. Approved were setting up with PIA a 50:50 owned for-profit holding corporation, Printing and Graphics Association International, Inc. (PBAI), with half its directors from each side. On or about January 1, 1999 (and continuing through December 31, 2002) all PIA and GATF members will be deemed members of the orther organization. PIA board of directors vote this week on the same proposal. Excerpt from Graphic Communications World.
