Joint Venture Between Kodak and Heidelberg Unveiled

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - The newest entrant in the non-impact, digital color market was officially christened today. NexPress Solutions LLC, a joint venture between Eastman Kodak Company and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg), introduced its corporate identity at the On Demand Digital Printing & Publishing Conference. With headquarters in Rochester, NY and Kiel, Germany, the formation of the joint venture has been granted by US anti-trust authorities. Appointed as NexPress senior management are Venkat
Purushotham, President, and Udo Draeger, Executive Vice President. The goal of the company is to provide solutions to enable value delivery in One-to-One Marketing. Products will include plateless, digital color printing systems for new markets like personalized and customized printing, on-demand printing, short run and fast turnaround color, and distribute-then-print applications.
