Cygnus Acquires Modern Reprographics, Expanding National Graphics Network
MELVILLE, NEW YORK -- Cygnus Publishing, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Modern Reprographics, a monthly business magazine serving the rapidly developing commercial reprographics industry, from Marion Street Press of Oak Park, Illinois. Launched in 1993, Modern Reprographics reaches owners and senior management throughout the reprographics industry, which comprises large-format digital color output devices and engineering document reproduction. According to one estimate, the value of the segment's large-format digital color business is predicted to reach $18 billion by 2000, with the engineering document reproduction portion expected to top $2.6 billion this year.
