PrimeSource Corporation to Acquire Bell Industries Division
PENNSAUKEN, NEW JERSEY - PrimeSource Corporation (Nasdaq NM: PSRC), a leading
graphic arts and printing products distributor and systems integrator, today
announced that it has signed a letter on intent to purchase the operating
assets of the graphic arts imaging group of Bell Industries, Inc. (NYSZE: BI).
Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to be consummated
within 60 days. The group being acquired distributes graphics and electronic
imaging supplies and equipment to the printing and publishing industries
throughout the upper Midwest, Southwest and Western United States. Its sales
for the first six months of 1998 were in excess of $70 million. Excerpt from
