Published by the Graphic Communications Association (GCA), GIBC/2 specifies bar coding and labeling of all printing process consumables other than paper, including film, proofing materials, plates, blankets, ink, and pressroom chemistry. NAGASA endorses use of GIBC for all graphic arts consumable products other than paper that are distributed through the graphic arts and imaging channel. This 81/2" x 11", 21-page comb-bound document includes text and graphics that describe: Primary and secondary GIBC bar code structures and formats Orientation and placement of symbols on packages Tips on using GIBC effectively “GIBC/2 outlines in detail what a supplier must do to apply industry-specified bar codes effectively to graphic arts products," commented President and CEO Peter Brehm.
