Banta Publications Adds Heidelberg Press
Banta Publications - Long Prairie, a unit of the Banta Publications Group
has added a Heidelberg M1000BE 6-unit press to its current complement
of six web offset presses. The new press will offer in-line, flood or
spot UV coating along with in-line perforation capabilities. It will have
the ability to deliver 4-page covers, 8-page signatures, 6-page gatefolds,
and 8-page double-gatefolds.
"The features on this new press will provide a host of benefits for
our customers,"
commented Andy Johnson, Pressroom Superintendent. "With these new
capabilities, our customers will have many options for the production
of their covers." The new press is expected to run live jobs in early
May. "Banta Publications - Long Prairie has always been able to deliver
one of the best printed products in our marketplace of short-to-medium
run magazines, the addition of this press will further improve quality,"
added Johnson.
Composed of 3 state-of-the-art facilities located in Long Prairie, MN,
Liberty, MO, and Greenfield, OH, the Banta Publications Group is a leader
in the production and distribution of short-to-medium run, special-interest
and trade magazines. Currently over 700 titles are produced at the three
locations.
