forward throughout the years. One recent widely successful decision was
the addition of a Cezanne flatbed scanner from Screen (USA), which is
having a radical effect in the prepress department and a profound impact
on the company's bottom line. "The Cezanne scanner has exceeded all of our expectations and we're
extremely happy with the outstanding quality. Henry Printing uses Cezanne
with two Agfa imagesetters and Macintosh software with no problems. They
also have limited space so footprint size was a major consideration, too.
"We know we can compete with any prepress house." remarked
Jeff Henry, production manager for the family-owned business who represents
the fourth generation of the Henry family. His father Bill and cousin Charles Henry are owners of the general commercial
printer, which celebrated its 100th year of business in 1998. Several
other family members play prominent roles within the company. Located in Greensburg Pennsvlvania, just east of Pittsburgh, Henry Printing performs an abundance of work for colleges and universities in as many as eight states. Ranging from catalogs and brochures to pamphlets, most jobs are 2- to 4-color in nature with a typically quick turnaround time. Obtaining Cezanne made the shop more productive, eliminating the need to send scanning work to outside vendors. Color Savvy Press Releases
