Corporation and a Xerox Alliance partnership with Xerox Corporation to
provide the first -Harlequin® RIP-based digital printing solution
for the Xerox® DocuColor™ 40 Pro. Under the agreement, Compose
can provide to its Resellers- and end-users an integrated solution that
includes.: Harlequin's Scriptworks® software Raster Image Processor
(RIP), Harlequin ICC Profile Processor™, (HIPP™) software, a
Compaq Alpha NPS40a™ network print server system, and a Xerox DocuColor
40 Pro digital color printer. The combined system boasts superior performance, excellent color accuracy
and quality. Features include: Harlequin RIP technology

Utilizing Compose's expertise in the digital color printing market, this
solution is being targeted to the short-run, on-demand color printing
and proofing markets. As a result of this agreement, Compose Systems announced the first US
installation of this system solution at Anheuser-Busch's in-plant production
house, Graphic Communications, located in St. Louis, MO. Compose has also added its network printing solution, NetFlow™ to the existing environment. The NetFlow configuration includes a single 500 MHz Compaq Alpha-based RIP server running Harlequin ScriptWorks, driving a Minolta® CF900™ color printer, a Sony YP-D9000™ digital proofer, and a Screen® FT-3050™ film imagesetter. For better color quality and color matching, a Harlequin ICC Profile Processor (HIPP) has also been incorporated.
