Litho Research Introduces Roll-R-Pasteô, A Cost-effective Roller Cleaner
Litho Research, Inc., has introduced Roll-R-Paste™, a new cleaning
and conditioning product for rollers and blankets.
The new product was formulated to remove the dried ink, glaze, paper
dust, and calcium deposits that remain in the pores of rubber rollers
and blankets even after a routine cleaning. It works quickly during color
changes or as part of regular weekly maintenance to remove buildup from
rollers and blankets.
"Roller cleanliness is very important to the print quality,"
says Michael T. NEske, president of Litho Research. "But the regular
wash-up process cleans the surfaces only. It's not sufficient to remove
the glaze that becomes imbedded and dried in pores of rollers and blankets.
This product will provide the kind of thorough cleaning a regular wash-up
can't."
When used as part of weekly maintenance, the product helps to extend
the life of offset press rollers and improves long-term ink receptivity.
It does not contain any abrasives to assure minimal wear on rollers and
will not damage plates.
Quick and thorough cleaning is also critical during color changes. Roll-R-Paste™
reduces significantly the amount of ink left in the pores of rollers,
that might alter the quality of the new color." It can also be applied
to blankets to restore their "velvet nap."
Roll-R-Paste™ is a domestically made "peanut butter" colored
paste that is highly concentrated so that only a small amount is needed
to achieve a thorough cleaning. Pound for Pound it goes further than that
liquid cleaning products. It is available in 1 lb. and 2 lb. plastic jars.
