Gears Graphics Incorporated And Optronics Sign Reseller Agreement: Prepress Equipment Dealer and Integrator To Sell And Service Optronics Aurora PlateSetters and ColorGetter Scanners in NYC Metro Area
Optronics International Corporation announced a reseller agreement with
Gears Graphics Incorporated, one of the leading prepress equipment dealers
on the East Coast. Gears is noted for providing its customers strong integration
capabilities and service. The relationship with Gears gives Optronics
access to a large list of loyal, successful accounts, while the addition
of Optronics scanners and platesetters complements Gears' prepress workflow
product line.
Aurora PlateSetters provide printers the improved quality and productivity
of the Optronics computer-to-plate system. With the tightest overall accuracy
and repeatability of .0002" (.005mm), Aurora PlateSetters ensure
perfect color and fit on press. Aurora PlateSetters are available in a
choice of formats and speeds to meet a variety of production needs. The
Aurora is an 8-up imager, while the Aurora 4/6 handles, 4- and 6-up sizes.
Lightning versions of each machine are available, and provide twice the
speed of standard Auroras. Aurora PIateSetters are configured for either
visible light or thermal imaging material.
The ColorGetter scanner is a high-quality desktop scanner that generates
scans of extraordinary resolution (up to 8,128 dpi) and color fidelity
- made possible with superior optics and proven PMT technology. The scanner
captures 36-bit data over a wide dynamic highlight and shadow range of
0.0 to 4.2 Dmax. For the busy production professional, it provides fast
drum speeds to 1,200 RPM.
Initial plans include sales and service training, and coordination of
a road show among Gears customers.
