Western Lithotech's DiamondPlate™
LT-G Qualifies On Barco/Gerber Thermal Platesetters
The DiamondPlate™ LT-G from Western Lithotech, a Mitsubishi Chemical
Company, has been qualified on the Barco/Gerber thermal platesetters,
Crescent 32T and 42T. This announcement comes following successful beta
testing that was the result of a joint effort by research and development
engineers at both companies.
The spectral sensitivity of DiamondPlate LT-G is 1064 nm. It is a positive
working photopolymer plate that does not require preheating or prebaking
prior to development. The DiamondPlate LT-G does not require a safelight
for ease of handling. It can be post-baked to achieve ultra-long run performance.
The Barco Crescent 42T is a high quality thermal platesetter. The internal
drum design and sophisticated optics ensure quality, speed and flexibility.
The thermal plates are positive working presensitized aluminum with a substrate of electrochemically grained and anodized aluminum available in .08 mil (.20 mm), . 12 mil (.30 mm), and. 15 mil (.38 mm) gauges. DiamondPlate LT-G plates have a high dot resolution of 1/2 % to 99-1/2 %.
