Spectratech International, Inc. announces Bopard Restructuring to Prepare for Future Initiatives

Wake Forest, NC: Spectratech International’s parent company, Southern Lithoplate, Inc.® CEO and Chairman, Edward A. Casson, Jr., announced a major restructuring. Casson stated, "After 65 years of being a family business, the worldwide success of Southern Lithoplate, Inc. news plate products, and the recent purchase or IMATION’s® West Virginia plate manufacturing facility by our subsidiary Spectratech International, we have chosen to expand the breadth and depth of our Board of Directors to include two outside professional non-family members."

The additional board members are:
Thomas J. Eilers, CPA, CMA, CVA, the founder and Senior Partner of the southeast regional accounting firm of Eilers, Jones, and McLeod. Mr. Eilers currently pursues his financial consulting interests after having retired from the practice in early 1999. Eilers oversaw Southern/Spectratech’s auditing practices for over 10 years.
Gary L. Downing, Managing Director for Raymond James, St. Petersburg, FL, joins the board and brings expertise to the company as it pursues long-range growth initiatives. Prior to joining Raymond James Capital in 1997, Mr. Downing spent 13 years in the Investment Banking Department of Raymond James & Associates, where he served in functions that included Managing Director and Head of the Consumer Group within the Raymond James’ Investment Banking Department.
