James K. Mehan Heads GPOís
Materials Management Service
July 19, 1999--Washington, DC: James K. (Ken) Mehan has been named Director
of Materials Management Services for the U.S. Government Printing Office
(GPO). As such he is responsible for procurement of materials, equipment,
and supplies necessary to accomplish the mission the Office and provide
support to other agencies of the Federal Government. This appointment
became effective July 18, 1999.
GPO’s Materials Management Service annually purchases printing and
copy paper valued at more than $30 million to fulfill printing needs and
for sale to other Federal agencies. The Service also execute contact with
unlimited dollar value for items including presses and equipment supplies.,
envelopes and containers and related services used by the GPO.
