folding machines at the recent PrintImage 99 Show in Rosemont, IL. The
product line includes the Turbo Air Fold (T) and Right-Angle (RA) models.
Both models have a maximum sheet size of 14" x 20" and a minimum
size of 4" x 6" and are supplied by bottom air pile feeders.
The 1420T features a register table between the feeder and folding section
for perfect alignment of sheets, with the ability to ensure accurate folding
at high speeded. A combination of front air and side air blow for perfect
separation of sheets in the feeding section is unique since this is usually
found only on larger and more expensive paper folding machines. The Right-Angle unit works in an in-line manner, rotating sheets 90 degrees
to produce right-angle folds at high speeds. The Right-angle Model is
also compatible with all makes of 14" x 20" folders and can
be used in conjunction with perforators, scorers, numbering machines,
bursters, and stitchers. With heavy duty, _" frame construction, A.B. Dick 1420 folding machines
use 100% urethane rollers that are mounted in Negram bushings and are
self adjusting. All gears are machine cut instead of the traditional molded
gears associated with typical table-top models. Slitter shafts are heavy
duty with a 7/8" diameter similar to those found in larger floor
model machines. They are easily removable for fitting accessories. Contact: Ken Newton, Senior Vice President/Sales and Marketing, A.B. Dick, 7400 Caldwell Ave., Niles, IL 60714. Phone: 847-779-1900. Fax 847-647-6940. Web: www.abdick.com
