get them posted. June 1, 1997 An NPES research study has concluded that digital technologies
are essential for future success in the printing industry. In 1995, 25 percent
of the jobs were processed with analog technology, 65 percent with a combination
of analog/digital technologies, 10 percent by networked digital, and less
than 1 percent by interactive digital work flows. By 2000, the study predicts,
these figures will change to 10 percent analog, 40 percent analog/digital,
40 percent networked digital, and 10 percent interactive. (Executive Summary
