NPES Reports Underlines Importance of Digital Technologies

An NPES research study has concluded that digital technologies are essential for future success in the printing industry. In 1995, 25 percent of the jobs were processed with analog technology, 65 percent with a combination of analog/digital technologies, 10 percent by networked digital, and less than 1 percent by interactive digital work flows. By 2000, the study predicts, these figures will change to 10 percent analog, 40 percent analog/digital, 40 percent networked digital, and 10 percent interactive. (Executive Summary of report available by calling NAGASA at 202-328-8441 or email at information@nagasa.org.)
