SCITEX INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE SOLUTION FOR OFFLINE OIL MOUNTING WITH EVERSMART SCANNERS
BEDFORD MA -- August 16, 1999 -- Scitex Corporation Ltd. today announced
the release of the EverSmart Oil Mounting Station(tm), the first professional
offline oil mounting system designed for flatbed scanners. Another innovative
solution from Scitex, the EverSmart Oil Mounting Station is a patent pending
accessory for the award-winning line of EverSmart(tm) scanners.
Professional results can be produced easily with EverSmart scanners without
oil mounting. However, when scanning outsize enlargements, or if the original
is scratched, oil mounting is the recommended procedure for preserving
high image quality. In addition to enhancing overall image quality by
reducing image grain, oil mounting significantly reduces post-scan retouching,
thereby saving time and operation costs.
The EverSmart Oil Mounting Station has an offline parallel workflow capability
for increasing productivity. While a scan is in progress, another batch
of originals can be oil-mounted offline on the second scanning glass.
The oil mounting station comes fully equipped with an additional scanning
glass mount, as well as oil mounting masks, clear foils and an oil roller.
The EverSmart Oil Mounting Station supports the Scitex EverSmart family
of scanners: EverSmart, EverSmart Pro(tm) and EverSmart Supreme(tm). Based
