Pitman to Sell Full Line of Screen (USA) Equipment
August 9, 1999 – Rolling Meadows, IL: Screen (USA), a subsidiary
of Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Co. Ltd. of Japan, announced an agreement
where Pitman Company will sell the complete line of Screen platesetters,
imagesetters, and scanners.
Pitman, a leading national graphic arts equipment dealer, will be offering
the newest equipment from Screen, including the PlateRite 8000 CTP unit,
the new eight-page Tanto imagesetter, and the four-page Kanto imagesetter.
Also included in the agreement is for Pitman to market the Screen Cezanne
flatbed scanner and the FlatRite 1050 flatbed plate recorder.
According to Pitman’s National Sales Manager/Direct Imaging Larry
D’Amico, "Screen’s newest products, such as the PlateRite
8000 thermal recorder, are extremely complementary to Pitman’s current
product portfolio. These devices broaden our product line and allow us
to meet our customers’ varied applications and better serve their
needs."
