Tower Products, Inc. Introduces New Fountain Solution
Using Unique Technology
September 15, 1999 – Easton, PA: Tower Products, Inc. announced release
of Millennium FMP fountain solution. The product represents a new fountain
solution technology that builds water viscosity at the same time that
it reduces surface tension, and without any chemical conflict. Tower reports
that the new fountain solution also provides powerful buffering system
to prevent pH drift and prevent alkaline paper chemistry from disrupting
the lithographic process.
Although the product was originally targeted at the large format sheetfed market, successful tests have been run on web presses with various dampening systems. The product can also perform well in the UV ink environment as well as when using conventional offset ink systems.
