Dealer Acquisitions, Mergers and Restructuring

Bell Industries acquired Garrett Graphics in the Pacific Northwest; Pitman Company acquired Alletec, owned by John Alley in St. Louis; Metzger Photo Supply in Ohio has sold its Fuji Photo business to HPS and its remaining graphic arts business to BESCO; all of the branches of VGC in the US have been sold to various other US dealerships. The west coast offices were sold to LDR, the mid-Atlantic branch to Graphic Systems Inc, Chicago branch to Hanley Graphics, Minnesota-area branches to PrimeSource and upstate New York branches to GE Richards; Fesmire Graphics owned by Charles Fesmire was acquired by Graphic Systems, Inc., owned by Jon Wright; the Nelson Co. headquartered in San Diego and Keystone Graphics based in Arizona have restructured to create a new identity, Nelson-Keystone. The two organizations formerly operated as separate identities with Keystone as a division of Nelson. Tim Young has been name VP of sales for the newly merged and integrated organization.
