NEW LOTEM FAMILY MEMBERS ARE MAKING SUCCESSFUL INROADS INTO THE CTP
MARKET

Scitex today announced that its expanded family of Lotem platesetters has been very well received by CTP users worldwide. With a host of new products that augment its highly acclaimed line of 8-up Lotem(tm) platesetters, Scitex provides a comprehensive CTP offering for every press size and type.
Lotem 400V
Following extremely successful beta testing, the Lotem 400V(tm) platesetter
will be available for commercial installation in Q4, 1999. With superior
imaging technology and an innovative loading/unloading system, the Lotem
400V platesetter can image up to 16 plates per hour, making it one of
the fastest 4-up platesetters available. In addition to its exceptionally
high quality, the Lotem 400V has impressed its beta users with its superior
productivity, stability and reliability. It has also proven its flexibility
in a wide variety of printing applications, and has shown excellent results
working with plates from most vendors.
Lotem XL
The Lotem XL(tm) CTP solution for very large format printing presses is
now making its debut in North America and Europe. Great interest has been
shown in this machine by numerous customers worldwide. Based on the technologies
of the acclaimed Lotem 800V(tm) platesetter, Lotem XL, which can expose
up to 32-page plates, has shown excellent quality results and a very high
degree of automation. Lotem XL is offered in several configurations to
meet every customer's needs regarding maximum plate size, number of in-line
cassettes and punching system.
LotemFlex 40/45
The LotemFlex 40/45(tm) flexsetter is now available for the flexographic
packaging market, after a successful beta testing program on several continents.
Customers were particularly excited about the excellent productivity and
high-quality output they were able to achieve using the new technology.
They were also impressed with the machine's flexible and easy operation.
LotemFlex 40/45 is the fastest machine on the market today, exposing a
full-size plate in just 16 minutes. It also enables imaging on the widest
range of plate and job sizes. With variable resolution and user-defined
tone reproduction, LotemFlex 40/45 delivers plates that are perfectly
suited to the specific requirements of flexo presses.
Lotem 800V enhancements
Scitex is also adding new options and enhancements to the Lotem 800V(tm)
line . These are the Lotem 800V2(tm) platesetter; the Lotem Link(tm) configuration;
and the Lotem Proof(tm) and Dual Loading Cassette options.
