- Fax: 202-328-8513 Joint IPA/R&E Technical Seminar To Focus On DRUPA
Prepress Technologies In announcing the collaboration, IPA president Hank Hatch commented: "Each year for the past 34 years, the IPA Technical Seminar has brought the latest in prepress technologies and techniques to our prepress service provider members. At this joint 2000 meeting, our members will be able to discuss and corroborate on the integration of prepress technology with R&E Council members, who are also influenced by press and post-press issues. This joint seminar will enable industry experts to examine and evaluate the latest technologies introduced at DRUPA. As such, the seminar will be as valuable to those who attend DRUPA as to those who will not be able to make the trip to Germany." Subjects to be addressed at Prepress 2000 include PDF workflow, workflow automation, digital proofing, color communications and management, remote proofing, direct to plate technologies, standards and specifications, asset management, digital communications and connectivity, and page layout. User panels made up of experienced production personnel will discuss the implications of these technologies on customers' expectations and their operations. Registration information for Prepress 2000 is available shortly at www.ipa.org and at www.recouncil.org, or by calling the IPA at 800-255-8141 or the R&E Council at 610-388-7394.
