Tabanelli as Graphic Arts Leader of the Americas 2000 : Event Held During
The Recent And Record-Breaking Graphics Of The Americas Show Miguel Garzón, editorial director of the publications, presented a special commemorative plaque to Mr. Tabanelli, who was nominated for the honor by CONLATINGRAF, the Latin American Graphics Industry Confederation. Mr. Tabanelli is the president of Boldt S.A. of Argentina, Latin America’s largest printer of business forms and security documents. The presentation ceremony was a highlight of the Graphics of the Americas 2000 convention. The exhibition, now in its 25th year, is one of the largest graphic arts shows in the United States, unique in its service of both the US and the Latin American printing and converting industries. Artes Graficas and Conversion were leading contributors to the success of the convention. Special sections were published on the Internet and in print covering the event with floor plans and exhibitor lists, and the publications were exclusive sponsors of a memorable salsa party held on Saturday evening, February 5, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The two publications also provided Internet services to the conventioneers, which were accessible at the International Business Pavilion for the duration of the convention. The exposition took place February 4 – 6 drawing an initial estimate of 22,000 attendees. The event offered 1,600 exhibit booths, 650 suppliers and 50 in-depth seminars. "Never before has this show seen the buying enthusiasm, especially after a tough '99 economic year in Latin America. Printers and Converters came from all parts of Latin America to find the newest technological advances for the new millennium", mentioned Juan Carlos Gayoso, Group Publisher of ARTES GRAFICAS and CONVERSION Magazines. "Our 25th Anniversary Graphics of the Americas set new attendance records. Most impressive are the Exhibitor’s opinions that this was the best ‘buying show’ to date. We are excited that our Exhibitors met or exceeded their expectations at this show. We will analyze the results of this show and raise the bar for the 2001 show (February 2-4). Our objectives are to continuously increase the number and quality of our buyers at Graphics of the Americas, so, the exhibiting companies will continue to display and demonstrate the newest graphic arts and converting technologies available." said Chris Price, Vice President & General Manger Trade Show Operations for Printing Association of Florida.
