Tower Products, Inc. Introduces New Fountain Solution
Using Unique Technology
Easton/Lehigh Valley, PA –February 15, 2000/September 15, 1999: Tower
Products, Inc., a leading manufactuer of environmentally sensitive pressroom
chemistry for the printing industry, announced today the national release
of Millennium FMP fountain solution. Implemented by Tower Products, Millennium
FMP fountion solution rperesents a new fountain solution technology that
builds water viscosity while reducing surface tension., and without the
usual chemical conflict. The new formulation technology also provides
a powerful buffering system to prevent pH drift and prevent alkaline paper
chemistry from disrupting the lithographic process.
For the printer, this new technology enables Millennium FMP to perform as a one-step product in many applications that have previously required a second-step alcohol replacement. Although the product was originally targeted at the large-format sheetfed market, successful tests have been run on web presses with various dampening systems. Also, Millennium FMP can perform well in the UV ink environment, as well as with conventional offset ink applications.
