PagePath Adds Customizing Capabilities to MyOrderDesk(tm)
e-Commerce Solution
New York, NY-- February 29, 2000: PagePath Technologies announced the
release of a suite of new customizing options for its MyOrderDesk e-commerce
solution. MyOrderDesk increases the efficiency of the print and prepess
procurement process by enabling a graphic arts service provider's web
site with sophisticated workflow capabilities. With over 1,700 graphic
arts service providers such as commercial printers, screenprinters, copyshops,
ad specialties, quick printers, graphic designers, reprographers, etc.
now registered to use MyOrderDesk, the new capabilities will dramatically
increase their ability to further integrate the service into their workflow.
The new features will be collectively known as the Performance package
for MyOrderDesk. Released in December of 1999, MyOrderDesk helps increase
online productivity and profitability.
MyOrderDesk is free and consists of a secure web-based order entry, file
transfer, confirmation and job management system. MyOrderDesk can be added
to an existing website or used on a standalone basis. With MyOrderDesk,
the graphic arts service provider avoids the significant investment in
time and money required to create and maintain a sophisticated e-commerce
website. A turnkey system, MyOrderDesk's capabilities are accessed through
the graphic arts service provider's website or a free website provided
by PagePath. MyOrderDesk uses a unique order entry and file attachment
web page for transfering multiple files along with the job ticket data,
including credit card information. The order entry page is personalized
with the graphic arts service provider's identity. Receipt of orders or
files is automatically acknowledged by e-mail to the sender. At the same
time, an e-mail is also sent to the production staff alerting them to
the new order/files. A link in the e-mail uses the production staff's
browser to retrieve the bundled order and job files. Both the graphic
arts service provider and their customers can review previous orders on
the web. Access to the order data is always password protected.
The Performance package for MyOrderDesk adds a customizable order form,
multiple production staff e-mail notification addresses, customizable
confirmation message, logo personalization, 2 GB of file archival, and
6 months of job history to the free version. The Performance package is
available immediately and is free to use until April 2000. After March,
a daily fee of $5 is capped at $55 per month for those choosing the Performance
package and only applies when the services are used. MyOrderDesk supports
major browsers. MyOrderDesk self-registration, an FAQ, a demonstration
site and other information are all available at http://www.PagePath.com/.
