REXAM IMAGE PRODUCTS IS NAMED MASTER DISTRIBUTOR FOR
3M(TM) ADHESIVE INK JET POSTER PAPER
SOUTH HADLEY, MA, February 23, 2000 - Rexam Image Products announces that
it has been appointed a master distributor in the U.S. for 3M(TM) Ink
Jet Poster Paper 8581 with Restickable Adhesive. This ink jet coated paper
product, available in 36-inch and 49-inch widths, features the 3M restickable
adhesive used on Post-it® Products. It is a very practical pressure-sensitive
adhesive-backed paper for applications such as temporary posters and presentation
graphics.
"Rexam Image Products will market the 3M ink jet product through its network of authorized dealers throughout the country," said Dan Halkyard, Rexam display market manager. "Our dealers supply digital imaging media products to a broad range of businesses, including sign manufacturers, architects, engineers, ad agencies and commercial printers, to name a few. Bill Parfitt, 3M market development manager, is also enthusiastic about joining forces with Rexam to expand penetration of restickable poster paper in the marketplace. "Rexam has a network of 'value-added' resellers across the U.S. that will strengthen 3M's North American distribution strategy. 3M Ink Jet Poster Paper 8581 with Restickable Adhesive is a unique combination of ink jet coating technology and exclusive 3M adhesive technology used on Post-it line of products. It features a heavyweight, coated, 6 mil, 120 gram paper compatible with thermal ink jet and water-based piezo printers. It can be imaged with pigment and dye-based inks. The adhesive is applied in strips 12-inches apart across the back. After imaging, a plastic liner is removed from the adhesive strips and the image is ready for posting. The product can be easily repositioned for up to 30 days. It will adhere to flat and curved walls and most surfaces, including painted walls, glass and steel, concrete, wood, fabric and vinyl wallcoverings. It can also be mounted to popular presentation materials such as Fome-Cor® board, Sintra™ board and Gatorfoam board®.
Among its many practical applications, 3M Ink Jet Poster Paper 8581 with Restickable Adhesive is used for display signage, business presentations, training graphics, advertising presentations, architectural and engineering presentations, temporary information signage, point-of-purchase displays, novelty posters and court room graphics.
