- Fax: 202-328-8513 Europe Printing Market Now at $116+ Billion According to the TrendWatch Global Printing Demographics 2000 Update report, Europe now accounts for over $116 billion of the global printing market with commercial printers and newspapers accounting for $105+ billion. And newspapers make up almost 7,000 establishments with over 88,000 professional graphics production seats. Germany accounts for $27+ billion with over 15,000 print business establishments (commercial printers, in-plant printers, trade shops, newspaper printers) followed by France with $19+ billion in shipments and over 10,000 print business establishments. By the way, there are over 42,000 professional graphics print production seats in Germany. Because the Internet is forcing all of us to think and act globally, sooner or later every firm will need to include reliable global numbers in your business and marketing plans. And if you personally don't give a hoot about these numbers today, you or your boss soon will. New technology (i.e., eCommerce) is forcing us to look beyond our traditional markets, and compete with global players. Maybe this is a good time to expand your global presence.
