Screen and Komori Form Strategic Alliance
Dainipon Screen Manufacturing Co. Ltd. of Japan, and Komori
Corporation, Japan, have announced an alliance whereby the two powerhouses
will combine efforts in the implementation of CIP3. Beginning in early 1997,
Screen and Komori began working together to assure that information such
as consumption data generated by prepress systems in a PostScript based
syntax could be used in press and postpress systems. Soon, they will begin
with assuring that the register marks, cutting and folding data will also
be usable in press and postpress control systems. Excerpt from Screen press
