NAGASA welcomes your news and special announcements
for the Industry News section of our web site. Please add NAGASA to your
press release mailing list or drop us a fax or email. We'll immediately
get them posted. October 1 For the past 18 months, the printing experts at London
Litho, working with industry sources, have been perfecting a process which
blends its printing experience and computer expertise to enable printers
to determine what is needed to synchronize the steps of its printing process
to eliminate trouble. The program is called Synclinal MAPP. London Litho's
specialists can use it to conduct a thorough, step-by-step evaluation of
both conventional and electronic pre-press operations as well as the complete
range of press room functions. It identifies and measures all computer hardware,
graphic or printing equipment malfunctions, identifies software faults,
finds weaknesses in raw material and spots errors in manual operations.
London Litho believes the Synclinal MAPP's greatest value is as a on-going,
preventive maintenance tool but acknowledges that many printers have first
used it to discover and correct an existing set of problems. Except from
