Duplo and Hewlett-Packard to provide low-cost printing/finishing
solutions
Duplo USA Corporation and Hewlett-Packard have formed a strategic alliance
to offer a fully integrated printing and booklet-making system created
specifically for the on-demand market. Comprising Hewlett-Packard HP LaserJet
8000DN, 8100DN, Mopier 240, Mopier 320 or Color LaserJet 8500DN Series
printer and a Duplo DBM-80H automatic-setting booklet-maker and trimmer,
the new system is a total printing and finishing solution that is completely
controlled from the printer work station. It utilizes a DFE (digital front-end)
interface that allows users to print and produce finished booklets with
just a simple mouse click. Printing, folding, stitching and face trimming
are performed automatically. The entire process also can be controlled
remotely via local-area or wide-area networks
