NEW DIAMONDSETTER™ 610SP-100 GENERATES HIGH-SPEED EFFICIENCY FOR PRINTING AND PUBLISHING INDUSTRIES

ST. LOUIS—The new DiamondSetter™ 610SP-100 from Western Lithotech, a Mitsubishi Chemical Company, offers features and pricing that make it an excellent value for printers when compared to other automated CTP units available to these markets.

The 610SP-100 has been engineered with a small footprint, a heavy-duty frame and a platen designed for high volume plate production. This flatbed configuration has proven to be the design standard for speed and productivity in CTP systems.

The 610SP-100 can achieve production rates of up to 45 plates per hour at 1270 dpi. It is available with resolution range from 1000 to 2540 dpi. Compact yet extremely powerful and fast, the DiamondSetter 610SP-100 uses one FD-YAG (532 nm) laser imaging module (standard 100 mw) for high production output. State-of-the-art FD YAG technology is extremely stable, uses low power, and lasts longer than other laser systems. Designed with an on-line plate loading system that provides automatic interleaf paper removal, it will accommodate up to 200 plates. An optional trolley isavailable to load up to 400 plates.

DiamondSetter™ 610SP-100…High-Speed Efficiency for Printing and Publishing/add 1DiamondSetter 610SP-100 platesetters are designed to image high quality color and black and white plates with precise registration and repeatability to ± 0.001" (0.0254mm). Included is a pinless registration system that eliminates the need for pre-punching plates.

Color plates are on-target and accurately registered in the imaging chamber with pneumatic actuators used to edge register the plate within ± 0.001 inches (0.0254mm). The system features a user-friendly touch screen control panel and an Intel Microsoft NT 4.0 platform for quick interface with most front-end imposition systems; a Harlequin RIP is also available. Imaged files are managed by the DiamondSetter spooler software, or the optional DiamondSetter™ Assistant software, a fully automated image distribution management system.

Customer training is provided with the purchase of every DiamondSetter unit which includes extensive product application and maintenance diagnostic training for both the equipment and plates.
