Varn and East Asiatic Company Joint Venture in China
The East Asiatic Company Limited, celebrating its 100th
year in business and Varn International, celebrating its 50th anniversay
in 1997, have signed an agreement to build a factory to produce pressroom
products inside the People's Republic of China. The multi-stage joint venture
in China will begin with a factory in Huadu City in Guandong Province in
the south eastern section of China. The new factory should be fully operational
in the first half of 1998.
