- Fax: 202-328-8513 November 19 Kodak Polychrome Graphics has selected Fairfield County,
CT as its new worldwide and regional U.S./Canada headquarters, beginning
approximately March 1, 1998. The new firm will draw its employees from Rochester-based
Kodak's Graphic Systems Markets unit and Fort Lee-based Sun Chemical's Polychrome
Division. Current plans call for finding an existing facility that meets
the new company's immediate needs. In order to minimize any interruption
of business, as well as ensure a smooth integration of people from different
locations, an orderly movement of employees into new space will take place
in stages over a short time period. Dick Vinocur reports in the November
24 issue of Footprints, " Some observers are asking why employees in
both Rochester and New Jersey are begin forced to relocate, and some suggest
that the current announcement may be a trial balloon." He also reported
the position of president of the U.S. and Canadian regional operations is
still to be filled. And, in other news, John Margherio, vice president and
general manager of Polychrome America, left the company after a two and
one half-year stint "to pursue other opportunities." | |||
