Konica Corporation Announces International Expansion of Graphic Imaging
Konica Corporation announced the creation of a new worldwide
organization to service the graphic imaging market. Konica Corporation has
created a new subsidiary, Konica Graphic Imaging International Inc., (KGI),
with worldwide (except Japan) responsibility for manufacturing, marketing,
and service to the graphic imaging community. The new company will be focused
on supporting Konica's customers and distributors in the rapidly changing
digital imaging environment. Three new companies have been created to handle
the marketing, sales, and distribution of Konica products. Konica Graphic
Imaging U.S.A. (KGU) will provide service to the North and South American
markets. The division of Konica Graphic Imaging will be headquartered in
Glen Cove, New York. Stephen C. Schuster has been appointed President of
the new division. the other two divisions will be Konica Graphic Imaging
Europe (KGE) headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany and Konica Graphic Imaging
Asia (KGA) in Singapore.
