NAGASA President and CEO David J. Steinhardt, in making the report available, said, "The study should be of interest to manufacturers, and graphic arts dealers now offering computers and electronics and those considering doing so. U.S. graphic arts dealers have extensive resources to bring imaging and other technologies to the printing industry. NAGASA, in making this extremely topical information available to the industry, is providing a service to both dealers and manufacturers."

The study was completed in early 1996 by Mason Consulting, Inc. The statistical efforts of NAGASA are guided by a committee made of dealers and manufacturers with representatives from AM Multigraphics, Agfa Division of Bayer Corporation, Best Graphics, Eastman Kodak Company, Leach Printers Supply, London Litho, State Street Consultants, and Taylor Impression. To determine trends in the channel the study will be repeated in 1998.
