Press Releases NAGASA RELEASES 1996 ANNUAL REPORT Washington, DC, December 1996. NAGASA-the North American Graphic Arts Suppliers Association-has released its annual report for the fiscal year ended 31 October 1996. In his report to the membership, NAGASA president and CEO David Steinhardt said: "Since its formation in 1993, NAGASA has become the industry voice for graphic arts dealers, distributors, VARs and manufacturers serving the imaging and printing markets. In response to industry needs, many NAGASA members have now positioned themselves as value added suppliers of systems, software and other digital technologies which the imaging and printing community require now and in the future. As manufacturers serving the printing and imaging markets seek better ways to distribute their products, services and technologies, more and more recognize the value of the channel served by NAGASA, and become NAGASA members. At the end of our 1996 fiscal year, NAGASA membership was at an all-time high of 365." Richard M. Blair, NAGASA Board Chair, commented on the success of the association as well: "Every year since its formation, NAGASA membership has grown in excess of 10 percent annually. This consistent growth demonstrates the ongoing value of the services and relationships that NAGASA provides." Addressing the financial health of NAGASA, president and CEO David Steinhardt added: "Overall NAGASA revenues in 1996 rose 10 percent, while revenues from memberships rose 24 percent, and convention revenues increased by 20 percent. All the while, general operating expenses rose only 10 percent, as NAGASA exceeded the goals of its three-year financial plan." NAGASA-the North American Graphic Arts Suppliers Association-is the world's largest trade association of dealers, value added resellers, systems integrators, manufacturers and distributors serving the graphic arts, imaging and publishing industries. NAGASA members sell more than $4 billion of equipment, supplies, systems, software, paper and service annually.
