NAGASA ELECTS NEW DIRECTORS Washington, DC, February 1998 -- NAGASA -- the North American Graphic
Arts Bruce deRepentigny, President, TBJ Graphic Arts Supply, Coventry, Rhode Island. Mr. deRepentigny has more than 35 years experience in the graphic arts industry, including ten years with 3M Company. In 1974, he established TBJ Graphic Arts Supply, which serves the Rhode Island and Connecticut markets. Mr. deRepentigny served on the board of directors of NGADA, one of the NAGASA predecessor associations. W. Bruce Goodwin, President, Glunz & Jensen Inc, Elkwood, Virginia. Mr. Goodwin has been a senior manager in the graphic arts industry for more than 20 years, at both conventional and electronic imaging manufacturers. He has been in his present position for three years; for the six years prior he was president of Luth International and Development Technologies Inc. Mr. Goodwin also was vice president and general manager of LogEtronics Corporation and Dunn Instruments. An active member of NPES as well as NAGASA, he holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technological University, and pursued graduate studies at the University of Tennessee. Julius R. Hjulian, President, Texas Type Company, San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Hjulian currently heads 85-year old Texas Type, a dealership in San Antonio, Texas, serving south-central Texas and northern Mexico. Before purchasing Texas Type, he held corporate marketing positions with Fortune 200 corporations and traveled worldwide. He currently is a cochair for NAGASA Forum 98. Ted Meek, Vice President and Graphic Arts Sales Manager, Modern Photo Offset Printing Supply, Indianapolis, Indiana. A graduate of Indiana University, Mr. Meek joined Indianapolis-based Modern Photo Offset Printing Supply more than 25 years ago. He was elected to a one-year term on the NAGASA board of directors at the 1997 annual meeting. Christine Miller Reid, Director of Dealer Operations -- North America, Polaroid Graphics Imaging, Waltham, Massachusetts. Ms. Reid began her career in the printing industry at a Rochester, NY, newspaper sixteen years ago. She has extensive distribution experience with Howtek, IRIS Graphics, and Polaroid Graphics Imaging. Ms. Reid served a one-year term on the NAGASA board in 1997. David Reny, Vice President and Managing Director, Standard Finishing Systems, Andover, Massachusetts. Mr. Reny currently heads Standard Finishing Systems, a division of Standard Duplicating Machines Corporation. In his more than 20 years at Standard, he has held a number of key sales, marketing and general management positions. He is presently a member of the board of director of NPES, and is active in the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation. Joe Thornhill, President, Taylor Impression, Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Thornhill joined Taylor Impression as an outside salesman in 1971 and became branch manager of the Taylor Impression Memphis, Tennessee, office in 1973. Now a part owner of the company, he served on the NAGASA board of directors from 1994 to 1996. Additional directors, previously elected, include Stanley Freimuth, President, Industrial Imaging Markets Group, Fuji Photo Film USA; Dana Melick, Channel and Product Marketing Manager, Imation Publishing Software Corporation; Marilyn Mueller, President and CEO, Mueller Graphic Supply; Serge Ouellette, President, Printing Equipment and Supply Dealers of Canada; William Rychel, President, Graphics Division, Tekgraf, Inc; Andrew Snively, Executive Vice President, Bosworth Papers Inc; Steven Tripp, President, The Tripp Company; and Kelly VandenBosch, Graphic Arts Sales Manager -- North America, X-Rite Inc.
