NAGASA ANNOUNCES OFFICERS FOR 1998
Washington, DC, February 1998 -- NAGASA -- the North American Graphic Arts Suppliers Association -- has elected the following new officers for 1998-1999.
Board Chair: Brian M. Kroot, President, Northeastern Graphic Supply, Portland, Maine. Mr. Kroot, a printing graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, is the president of Northeastern Graphic Supply, a single location dealership, and Northeastern Electronic Graphic Systems. For the past year, Mr. Kroot has been the NAGASA Dealer/Reseller Vice President, the position from which, according to the association's bylaws, the Chair position is filled.
Dealer/Reseller Vice President: Kyle Walker, Vice President of Sales,
Walker Supply Company, Rockville, Maryland. Mr. Walker began work at Walker
Supply Company in 1985. He currently serves on the board of directors
and is a past president of the Washington Printing Guild. He also is a
member of the board of directors of the Printing and Graphic Communications
of Washington, the Master Printers Division of Washington, and the National
Association of Quick Printers--Capital Chapter. He
served on the NAGASA board of directors from 1993 to 1995, as well as
the board of its predecessor organization, NGADA. Mr. Walker holds a bachelor
of arts degree from Furman University, and a law degree from the University
of South Carolina. He is NAGASA Chair-designate for 1999-2000.
Manufacturer Vice President: Mark Kannenberg, President, RBP Chemical Corporation, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Kannenberg is a graduate of the US Military Academy with an MBA from Harvard University.
Secretary/Treasurer: Paul Doucette, President and CEO, Doucette Corporation, Pacific Palisades, California. Mr. Doucette -- a graduate of California State University of Northridge with an MBA from Pepperdine University -- has nearly 30 years of industrial experience, primarily in graphic arts distribution.
Past Board Chair: John Alley, District Manager, Pitman Company, St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Alley founded Alletec, a St. Louis and Memphis graphic arts dealership, in 1986. In 1996, Alletec was acquired by the Pitman Company. For the past year, Mr. Alley was the NAGASA board chair.
