NAGASA TO HONOR MELVYN LONDON Washington, DC, April 1998 -- NAGASA, the North American Graphic Arts Suppliers Association, has announced that henceforth its Lifetime Achievement Award will be known as the Melvyn London Award for Lifetime Achievement. The award has been renamed in honor of the founder of London Litho Aluminum, who died on April 11, 1998. Founded in 1957, London Litho is a major regional graphic arts dealer in the midwest. In announcing the newly named award, NAGASA president and CEO David J.
Steinhardt said: "In 1997, Melvyn London was the first recipient
of the NAGASA Lifetime Achievement Award. For more than 50 years, Mel
served the printing industry -- first as a pressman, then as a chemist,
then as a plate manufacturer, and finally as an industry supplier and
reseller/systems integrator. As one who epitomized the entrepreneurial
nature of the graphic arts dealer channel, it is only fitting that Mel’s NAGASA -- the North American Graphic Arts Suppliers Association -- is
