If you are interested in receiving the entire paper in print form, Re-Inventing Distribution Robert L. Fitzpatrick "What a year!" wrote one graphic arts dealer, referring to 1995. He told of long established dealers being acquired or facing bankruptcy; of the complete withdrawal of one of his major suppliers from the industry; of a merger of two other major suppliers. A venerable and leading electronics supplier had downsized "almost to extinction." Résumés were circulating in a frenzy of positioning by formerly secure industry managers. His customers were demanding more services, yet expecting greater discounts as well. The graphic arts dealer reporting these ominous events and trends was not from the US, but Europe. Yet his comments and observations would fit the graphic arts business of 1995 in many places of the world. NAGASA © 1997
