Graphic Arts Marketplace:
Opportunities on the Internet for the Distribution Channel

By Stephen P. Aranoff, Arttex Associates and
Jennifer Hoff, Hoff Communications, Inc.

Is the Internet a Real Vehicle for Commerce? For many of us in the graphic arts, printing and publishing world, the Internet is an enigma. Because we deal with technology leadership, we ought to be able to figure out how to profitably utilize this new medium to help our businesses, shouldn't we? Unfortunately, with so much Internet hype being written, we don't know what to believe. Will the Internet become the next shopping Mecca? Are there people actually making money using it? As a graphic arts company, how should you approach the Internet to make money?

Because questions like these are gripping our industry, I found myself very interested in a recent talk given by a well known advertising executive, entitled, The Internet ... A Networked Branding Applications Platform.
