Computer System Suppliers for Dealers,
Distributors, Manufacturers, and VARs
NAGASA has published A Guide to Selecting a New Computer/Part
II: Computer System Suppliers for Dealers, Distributors, Manufacturers,
and VARs. The 36-page book was created to help buyers learn which
software vendors offer systems and services that best meet a company’s
needs by providing a concise summary of costs, features, and support
for computer software developed for dealers and distributors.
This document contains complete contact information for each
vendor, a detailed comparison including the size and description
of the vendor, software costs, maintenance fees, warranty information,
specifics about both the source code and operating system, and
application modules available with the software. Responses are
in an easy-to-understand format with simple side-by-side comparisons.
“This guide is a tremendous asset for anyone investigating
the purchase or upgrading of a computer system,” notes NAGASA
President Peter Brehm. “This valuable document contains information
about 19 different vendors and systems that are suitable for smaller
– and potentially larger – NAGASA members.”
The book costs $95 per copy for members, $195 per copy for nonmembers.
Fees include shipping via UPS or USPS. A surcharge will be applied
for shipments outside of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and for
overnight shipping. NAGASA is also extending an offer to buy the
