NAGASA has been a leader in developing and updating 5 Critical Industry Standards: the Model Manufacturer/Distributor Contract; the Graphic Industry Bar Code (GIBC); Electronic Commerce Implementation Guidelines; the Model Service & Maintenance Agreement; and a Central MSDS Storage & Retrieval CD-ROM library. NAGASA is the leader in electronic data interchange with 34 dealers now participating in our program.
NAGASA published 3 New Statistical Surveys in 1996: Electronics and Computers, Financial Ratios and Sales Compensation, plus 3 FlashStudy Reports on printing and finishing equipment, workers' compensation and the Internet. In alliance with NAPL and PIA, NAGASA will publish in 1997 the User Channel Satisfaction Survey. Six FlashStudy reports are also planned for 1997.
 1996 saw the introduction of the 1st Manufacturer Distribution Practices Survey, a statistical study of practices in the channel for use by manufacturers. And in 1997 NAGASA will expand the survey to include dealers, distributors and VARs. |
 Following Graph Expo East in September, NAGASA's Trade Show Task Force made final changes to our Trade Show Directory. This publication will provide key data on regional and national trade shows from the distribution channel perspective. |
